Thanksgiving Camps
Hello Wilmot Ski Team Families Some families have already made plans to attend a ski camp over Thanksgiving. There are many camps out there and most of them are great. Some are out west – which is awesome if you can swing it, but it is not necessary to go to Colorado to get acclimated for the season. Unfortunately, I am not coaching at any camps this season and Wilmot does not have a camp this year. However, Pat Slattery (Team Blackhawk) is hosting his camp at Brule, MI again this year. Pat is an excellent coach and a great human. I have coached this camp with Pat in the past…

Dryland Training Follow-up
As a follow up to last week’s dryand session, I wanted to share an outline of our workout. The movement patterns we touched on will improve one’s ability to move like an athlete. New Coach Announcement
(re-posted from an email from Gary Lieder (head of the Wilmot Mtg Ski School) Two weeks ago Coach George Anderson sent out an email to the families of racers who were on the team last season. He announced he was stepping down as Head Coach. We have been very fortunate to have George coach and provide the leadership needed to provide a quality program for so many young racers. We owe George a great deal of gratitude for the positive impact he has had on so many lives here at Wilmot. You may see George around Wilmot this season as he has agreed to help me in a consultant capacity. We are…

Dryland Training and Ski Swap
I am sure you are wondering about changes to the coaching staff this season. An official communication will be coming your way very soon! In the interim, I can assure you that the 2022-23 ski season will be awesome and packed with all the great ‘ on snow’ training and laborious race days you know and love. Negative 30 degree days notwithstanding 😁. While we await an official notice and a date for the official “Team Meeting”, I wanted to be proactive about getting families and athletes together ASAP. As such, we will be hosting a dryland session and gear swap next Saturday, October 15th. This will not be a team meeting and…
