New Coach Announcement

Two weeks ago Coach George Anderson sent out an email to the families of racers who were on the team last season. He announced he was stepping down as Head Coach. We have been very fortunate to have George coach and provide the leadership needed to provide a quality program for so many young racers. We owe George a great deal of gratitude for the positive impact he has had on so many lives here at Wilmot. You may see George around Wilmot this season as he has agreed to help me in a consultant capacity.

We are excited to announce Steve Schwartz as the new Head Coach of the Wilmot JR Race Team. Steve has a strong racing background as a former racer and coach. Steve is well respected by his peers, our racers and their parents. In addition to Steve’s PSIA Certification, his experiences and knowledge of racing will be invaluable as he provides the leadership required to keep our team moving forward.

We are also pleased to announce Jon Schwartz will be taking on a new leadership role as Team Coordinator. This position was created to help with communication and assist Steve. Jon also has a strong racing background as a racer, coach, and PSIA Certified. Additionally, Jon is very active with WJARA serving as a board member.

Both Steve and Jon will be reaching out to you in the next week or so. They will provide you with information on how to best communicate with them. We look forward to seeing the team on Snow here at Wilmot soon
